Mid-Ohio NASCAR Truck Race Results

Today the NASCAR Truck Series takes the stage in Lexington, OH. The Mid-Ohio road course is set to host the O’Reilly Auto Parts 150.

Step 1 – Report

Rounds: 20 (1-20 / 67)

Green flag, Heim releases Kligerman in the first corner.

Round 4, Kligerman is all over Heim’s bumper. He leans on his rear bumper. He rolls to his outside in turn five, Kligerman takes the lead on the outside lane!

On lap 8, Mason Filippi stalled and the warning came out.

Lap 13, Matt DiBenedetto stalls and falls to the back of the peloton. It cycles the electronics and it turns back on, carelessly.

Lap 16, Ben Rhodes slows down after contact with Dylan Lupton.

Trey Burke III is on track, caution.

Green flag with 1 to go in the first leg, Kligerman leads. Heim and John Hunter Nemechek battle for 2nd place. Zane Smith makes it a three-way battle in turn three! Heim falls 4th.

Step 2 – Report

Laps: 20 (21-40 / 67)

The peloton reaches the pit lane for controlled pit stops. The ground is frozen with a stoppage time limit.

Green flag on the second stage, Kligerman leads Zane Smith. Smith drives to his outside in turn two but he can’t complete the pass.

On lap 30, Kligerman leads Zane Smith by 0.8 seconds.

Lap 33, John Hunter Nemechek has a big tire rub. It hits the pit lane under the green.

5 to go in stage two, Smith is back on Kligerman’s bumper in the battle for the stage win.

Last lap of stage two, Zane Smith looks on the inside in turn one. They stay side by side in turns two, three, four, five and six. Smith finally clears him.

Step 3 – Report

The peloton returns to the pit lane. The ground is frozen again.

Green flag on stage three, Smith leads into turn one with Kligerman all over his bumper. Kligerman drives him deep into turn four and he comes back in the lead.

22 to go, Justin Marks spins, no caution.

20 to go, Dylan Lupton spins and backs into a tire barrier. Big damage but no caution.

19 to go, Tyler Ankrum hit the pit lane with a flat tire.

18 to go, Justin Marks loses his brakes in a high-speed corner. It flies through the sandbox and slams the tire barrier. Marks gets out of his truck and caution is lifted.

Green, Kligerman leads Zane Smith and Corey Heim.

13 go

13 to go, Colby Howard, Chase Purdy and Austin Wayne Self run three wide into the first corner. This lack of space, Self turns in front of the field. Jack Wood, Austin Wayne Self and Blaine Perkins take heavy damage. Caution came out.

Green, Kligerman and Smith race side by side in the first corner. Smith wins this battle with an outside pass! Smith misses the braking zone in the second corner. He blocks in turn three.

Kligerman fights back but Heim passes to take 2nd place.

8 to go, Chase Purdy is off the track in turn 13, no warning.

7 to go, Corey Heim stalls on the track due to a mechanical problem, caution.

Green, Smith leads Kligerman to the first corner. Kligerman is short of turn two. They race side by side in turn three, Kligerman comes back in the lead!

2 to go, Smith dives into the first corner. They stay side by side for the turn two lead, Kligerman holds it off.

1 to go, Smith looks at his inside again in the first corner. Kligerman defends in the second corner.

Smith gives him the bumper at turn 12!

Parker Kligerman holds him back to win at Mid-Ohio!
