Grandview Speedway is gearing up to host another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series program this Saturday night, all part of 60e racing competition anniversary season.
Following a weather report last Saturday July 2, this Saturday July 9 will see the same program that was scheduled last weekend, since the NASCAR Sportsman of TP Truck Equipment will compete in the 52n/a annual Firecracker 40 championship race starting at 7:30 p.m. The program will also include the TP Trailer NASCAR Modifieds as well as qualifying events leading to the 40-lap TP Truck Equipment Sportsman Championship paying $2,000 to win and the 30-lap TP Trailer Modified feature.
Pit doors will open at 4 p.m. with the grandstand doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and warm-ups from 6:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $22, while children 6-11 are $10 and children 5 and under are admitted free.
Race weekend kicks off Friday, July 8, with Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage competitors hosting a dual-header starting at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission for this event is $10.
TP Truck Equipment Sportsman competitors will race in the 52n/a The annual Firecracker 40, however, was raced for the Late Model division from the start of racing in 1971 until the Late Model class was discontinued after the 2018 season.
For the past three seasons the race has been run for the TP Truck Equipment Sportsman division, winning drivers have been Brad Brightbill in 2019, Brad Arnold in 2020 and Brian Hirthler winning last year in 2021.
Points leader Dylan Hoch will be one of the strongest candidates to claim victory in the Championship event on Saturday as he is one of eight different winners so far this season. Other drivers who have reached victory lane include Jordan Henn, Parker Guldin, Lex Shive, Cody Manmiller, Kenny Bock, Decker Swinehart and the only two-time winner Brian Hirthler.

The TP Trailer Modifieds saw Brett Kressley pick up his third win of the season at the final Saturday night event and followed that win with a triumph on Tuesday night in the Thunder on the Hill program in conjunction with the PA 410 Sprint Speedweek program. . Kressley will continue as the leader of the TP Trailer Modified point entering the program this Saturday.
Other winners this season were Craig Von Dohren, who won four points races on Saturday night, two wins at Thunder on the Hill, plus a win in the season opener VP Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Big Block/ Small Block Modified event, and Doug Manmiller, who so far has been the only driver to break the Von Dohren/Kressley hold on Victory Lane.

Saturday’s Low Down and Dirty meet will feature modified riders Bobby Gunther-Walsh and Dan Waisempacher as well as Sportsman riders Kenny Bock and Mike Schneck Jr. starting at 5 p.m.
The following Saturday, July 16, a three-division show will feature the TP Trailer Modifieds, TP Truck Equipment Sportsman, as well as the sole appearance of the United Racing Club 360 Sprint Cars starting at 7:30 p.m.
Race Night will be known as Do It in the Dirt Night with Bob Hilbert Sportswear as the Race Night Sponsor.
