Manchester United have released their home kit for the 2022-23 campaign and used Cristiano Ronaldo as one of their posters despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.
The 37-year-old striker was pictured wearing United’s new red and white collared shirt as the club presented their kit to the Old Trafford faithful.
However, a special advert featuring Ronaldo is being held in store until the club clarify his future after the Portugal international told the Red Devils he wants to leave this summer if they receive a suitable offer for him .

United have published their new strip for the 2022-23 season on their website – along with the ‘authentic home shirt’, the one worn by the players, priced at £100. The traditional replica shirt is available for £70.
Next season’s shirt features United’s traditional red and white colors and references the strip the Red Devils wore in the 1990s.
The white collar, the bias badge and the vertical seams give the shirt a retro look. The club’s sponsors and partners will be visible on both the sleeve and the front of the club’s home, away and third shirts.

But the Red Devils have refrained from releasing a special advert they shot in the lead-up to Friday’s shirt reveal, as it focuses on the escaped Portugal international.
Ronaldo was reportedly filmed alongside Eric Cantona and David Beckham in a special clip which sought to use the club’s three iconic No.7s to reveal the 2022-23 strip – according to The Athletic.

However, they withheld the video as Ronaldo told United he wanted to leave the club this summer to join a Champions League side.
Ronaldo was due to report for pre-season training on Monday but United were given compassionate leave over a family issue.
The player has so far missed four days of training and is not flying with the squad on their pre-season tour to Bangkok on Friday. The club are still unsure whether Ronaldo will be able to join the four-game, 16-day trip at a later date.
A club spokesperson confirmed: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United party scheduled for our pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia on Friday.

Ronaldo’s future posed an immediate early problem for new boss Erik ten Hag
“He got extra leave to sort out a family issue. Cristiano remains under contract with Manchester United for another season and is not for sale.
Ronaldo is said to be unhappy with suggestions that he refused to show up for training, considering he had the club’s permission to stay in Lisbon with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and his children.
Nonetheless, Ronaldo’s continued absence is sure to fuel speculation over his future after he told United he wanted to leave and his agent Jorge Mendes held talks with several clubs.
New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly keen to sign Ronaldo this summer
Chelsea and Napoli are said to be two of the European giants interested in signing Ronaldo this summer. However, it will be difficult for either club to match his £500,000-a-week wage.
New boss Erik ten Hag will also be reluctant to let the 37-year-old forward go as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
The Dutchman finally secured his first signing as manager as left-back Tyrell Malacia arrived in a £14.6million deal from Feyenoord earlier this week.
Ten Hag is also in the process of negotiating a deal with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. However, progress appears to be stalling.
