Pre-race quotes from Austin Wayne Self:
On the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course: “I am happy to be back behind the wheel of the #20 AM Technical Solutions | GO TEXAN Chevrolet Silverado RST this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The past month has been very busy for me and although I hated not being able to race, I am grateful for the invaluable time I spent with my wife and daughter.
“I am however focused on getting back behind the wheel this weekend and replicating Max’s impressive finish from Nashville Superspeedway in our #22 AM Technical Solutions | GB TEXAN Chevrolet Silverado RST.
On the 2022 season: “I think the AM Racing team showed incredible strength at times during the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. We started the year with solid results, but we went through a difficult period.
“I think the last two races, though, we’ve shown that AM Racing has competitive equipment and we have what it takes to run in the top five and top 10 consistently. We just need breaks to fall on our way.
“Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course however is another chance for our team to prove what we have to work with and I don’t plan on letting them down.”
