Round 3 of the 2022 Downhill World Cup in Leogang delivered another day of incredible racing. In the junior race, Phoebe Gale rode a dominant run to edge fastest qualifier Jenna Hastings by 14 seconds. Gracey Hemstreet, winner of rounds one and two, had to settle for third place today, just over 15 seconds off the pace. Among the junior men, it was Jordan Williams who took advantage of his victory in Fort William to edge Jackson Goldstone by four seconds. A strong performance from Lachlan Stevens-McNab puts him in third place.
Camille Balanche proves that she is once again the one to beat in Leogang after a perfect and controlled race which earned her victory by more than 11 seconds. Myriam Nicole had some trouble at the top of the course but kept it clean the rest of the course to take second place. Eleonora Farina also had an excellent run to secure third place. The elite men saw a first World Cup winner as Matt Walker just beat fellow Briton Danny Hart to the line by 0.325 seconds. Angel Suarez had an incredible run to take third and a half seconds.

Frida Ronning finished her race just over 24 seconds behind Louise-Anna Ferguson.

After a few mistakes in the tricky part of the woods, Monika Hrastnik moved up to second with only 0.382.

Antoine Vidal was on a fast run that ended in a fall in the woods. He didn’t waste too much time but it will be enough to prevent him from getting a better result.

Laurie Greenland was green by three seconds in the first division, but he must have lost a lot of time somewhere because he is more than five seconds behind in the second division.
